Shrine Shoppe
Shrine Shoppe
The shrine shoppe at the parish was started by Jo Birch when it was only a niche in the coffee room of the old parish church, but she had a vision. Through her hard work and energy a small shoppe was later opened in the old sacristy space once our current church was built and the old church became St. Jude Hall. The shoppe has relocated, but it is still in St. Jude Hall.
We have had many wonderful volunteers over time and currently Susan Thurber now opens the shoppe to customers each Sunday morning between the masses.
The shoppe contains many wonderful statues, books, handmade rosaries, medals from Walsingham, prayer cards, crosses and other religious items including a recycled area where items are donated and resold at very reasonable prices.
The shrine shoppe is located in St. Jude Hall in the south east corner of the building along the back hall way near the education offices by the exit door and is most easily accessed by the door at the southwest end of the cloister closest to the outdoor shrine opposite the Holy House chapel door. Once you enter that door into St. Jude Hall, the shrine shoppe is immediately on the right.
The Shrine Shoppe is usually open between the masses on Sundays.
Susan Thurber and Jo Birch have done a wonderful job as ‘proprietors’ of the Shrine Shoppe.
The Shoppe shoppe is usually open from 9:30 until 10:30 am on Sundays. Call the parish office for more information.
